Domain Squatting

January 30, No Comments

Domain squatting (also known in the 90′s as cybersquatting) is the registration of a domain name (often a trademarked domain) in bad faith.

For example, someone might register a domain name with a keyword of a well known product and attempts to sell it back to the manufacturing company of the product.

Registering trademarked domains may land you in court. This is usually performed in conjunction with a UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy).
