Great Sales At DOMAINfest

Take newyorkapartments.com for $65k. That is a bargain! For those interested in search, it gets 90,500 exact match searches at $2.39 a click! When you factor in all the variations and long tail keywords, I can see that one being a goldmine. Develop it, sell it to a realestate agent – the options are endless.

Have you ever sold a domain to a real estate agent?
While the sales certainly do happen they are one of the most difficult groups to close a nice sale with. They don’t want to pay much at all and most all of them have very little knowledge about the importiance of the internet.
I am not saying that you couldn’t sell NewYorkApartments.com to a realtor, but I am saying that I will be very, very difficult to find a realtor that is willing to pay more than $20,000, much less a realtor that is willing to pay more than $65,000.
Best option here in my opinion would be to develop it and sell leads to realtors. They understand leads, just not domains.
Troy: That’s exactly the opportunity in “local search” that many people are taking advantage of. Imagine owning that domain, developing it out and doing lead gen and advertising for some major brands!
