Nintendo Loses WIPO Case For Wii U

Back in 2011, Nintendo announced the Wii U without owning the domain name. Sure enough, a WIPO case was heard with the result just published. Denied!

In WIPO D2013-0322, panelists Abbott, Frederick, M.Slutsky, Bradley A. (Presiding) and Sorkin, David E have denied the complaint for the domain wiiu.com.

A quick check of the historical whois records at IPNeighborhood show that the domain was registered back in 2004, is under Domain Privacy with DNS records at Smartname.
